Book 2 Unit 2 The Olympic Games Grammar: Future passive voice

I. Analysis of teaching materials

Future passive voice is the grammar item in unit 2 in book 2. Tense and voice are the most important parts in sentence construction. If English learners want to make grammatical sentences, they must have a good command of them. Future passive voice is one grammar item which the students need to master in College Entrance Examination. Therefore, students ought to know the structure and usage of future passive voice.

II. Analysis of students

Being students of grade one in senior high school, they have learned future tense and have the basic knowledge about passive voice, but some of them couldn’t use it properly. What’s more, passive voice has something similar with “Ba-sentence pattern” in Chinese, so it is easy for them to understand passive voice. But when they make sentences consisting of future passive voice, they often can’t make correct sentences. Finally, grammar learning is not as interesting as other kinds of learning, so the students may feel boring in class. III. Teaching objectives A. Knowledge
